2019 Romance GenreCon Librarian Workshop
Romance is the number one selling genre in the world, and yet it is routinely under-served in public libraries. We are setting out to change all that! Join us for the 2019 Romance GenreCon Librarian Workshop.
This special, free event is a part of the larger GenreCon experience: a three-day convention that celebrates the genre and seeks to dispel some of the stigma surrounding romance. New York Times best-selling author, Damon Suede, kicks off the Librarian Workshop with a keynote speech about the meaning of romance novels in our world. Attendees will have a chance to interact with top romance authors and learn all about the genre. A representative from the Sourcebooks will also be there to talk about the publishing world. Librarian presenters include: Kaite Stover, Kansas City Public Library, Beth Atwater, Johnson County Library, Polli Kenn, Lawrence Public Library, and Amy Fisher, Mid-Continent Public Library.
